Happy with RX-100

Even though he is 25 years now, I can safely take him out anywhere and any distance (Yes, done rallies and long trips on him). He can even go on on kerosene! Mileage is bad, though, but I do not complain, given the riding pleasure and balance of him. :)

can 6 Speed transmission be more fuel efficient ?
by sushim gupta on May 03, 2011 02:25 PM

According to rediff "6 speed transmission ensures decent fuel efficiency "

What a crap ? seems the author is some non tech person who knows nothing about engine technology. i bet can rediff prove 5 transmission gearbox is less efficient than that of 6 ?

Three thumbs down to ST7
by Bodhisattva Sen on May 03, 2011 01:34 PM

While the GT650R seems like a decent bike (barring the 'close resemblance' to a similar mid level Ducati), the ST7 seems completely useless as a cruiser. The true hallmarks of a true cruiser are:
a. Maximum power at low revs; and
b. Low end torque.

With figures like 58 bhp @ 8000 RPM and 57NM of torque at 6000 RPM, it is basically a street bike dressed as a cruiser. It looks good, so buy it if you want a looker, but in case you make the mistake of taking it to the hills, be ready to be shamed by a 350 cc bullet up an incline.
