ban all these days...
by rajesh kumaran on Mar 05, 2011 11:29 PM  | Hide replies

First of all it is not in our Indian culture to celebrate, women's day, men's day, mother's day, father's day, valentine's day etc. it is all the sign of westernization of Indian culture that leads to all gender bias in work place, society, laws and ethics.
All was fine until India opened its gates towards globalization. After that enter the internet all kinds of moral destructing viruses got injected into our culture and minds and India is going to get destroyed. Men are not respecting women and women are not respecting men.
Even the elders and children are not spared. We have a culture that is based on family and that family builds the society and which in turn builds India.
Chuck away these kind of days and get back to our old Indian Culture.

just to understand correctly, you are talking about the culture in which 1/4th population was treated as untouchables and sub humans for 3000 year ??

The culture in which women were burnt alive after her husbands death ?

Culture where women are still burnt for dowry ?

The YES SiR..YES SAAR culture ?

The culture where regionlism flows in our bloods ?

Culture where we can't look beyond our families and ourselves..and could not give a shit about society ??

Culture where every person is corrupt to the core ??

Please clarify.

I am not sure why men are uttering crap here about women's common sense. Common sense is not gender specific. Women are for love, huh? Do not want to mention sex word here??? Bull shit males! You get all lovely attention, care and love from females in your life and you are disrespecting them. You are disrespecting your mom, sis, wife, daughter. I hope that all women disappear from your life. God should never give these men a daughter. NEVER!!!

INDIRA GANDHI
by Kabeer on Mar 03, 2011 01:02 PM  | Hide replies

I worked in Indira Gandhis secretariat (what is now called PMO) and was close to her.

She was an amazing woman.

Whatever people might say about her, I have deep admiration towards her.

One incident etched in my mind.

Those were the days when JKLF militants have kidnapped Indian diplomat in London Ravindra Mhatre.

Indira pleaded with them to release him and all issues can be discussed without adhering to their demands.

JKLF militants wanted to show their power and killed Mhatre and threw his body on a roadside.

Indira immediately cleared the death sentence awarded to jailed JKLF leader Maqbool Butt.

Entire media, opposition parties, and all political analysts, and Kashmiri leaders, Pakistan condemned her action as hasty and a knee jerk reaction and dubbed it as vendetta kind of reaction but not one borne out of political sagacity or statesmanship.

I went into her chambers, and asked, Ma'am, why are you doing what you are doing? Can you have a rethink about it as the entire media, opposition parties and the whole world is against you including some in your own party.

She looked into my eye and said calmly, Kabeer! you know me enough long and have seen me from close quarters. I dont care what the outside world thinks about me. But atleast you understand me.

She continued,

I have no prejudice against this man called Maqbool Butt. But if I dont do something now, JKLF will have many more Mhatres killed."

AFTER BUTTs EXECUTION N
