KOCHI anyone?
by Neo on Jun 23, 2011 04:06 PM  | Hide replies

Did anyone mention Kochi from Kerala? I have lived and worked in Kochi and i found it to be an amazingly Cosmo place to be in.You have good North/South/West/East food joints and people to interact with, beautiful places to go like Marine drive etc etc, added with the greenery that Kerala is famous for.Transportation by all means is Goood..Boat,Bus,Train or Flights....
Good Special Economic zones have made sure that Big companies gain foothold. The Vizhinjam Container terminal and the Dubai IT park will make Kochi a haven for Professionals to be..I wonder why this author is so biased against what is genuine.I live currently in Mumbai and i had to shell out a cool 25 L for a one and a Half BHK in a place called Dombivli...and all of 747 Sqft..sad...and i go home to Kerala to a BUNGALOW(as per Maharasthrian standards....)

Thanks for the statement , But please define real ? everywhere there is problem and we need to solve it with a holistic approach dividing it the south north east west way only makes Indian more apart from each other, i have many fact about the freedom struggle where in nothing came from south, it never featured, if i start digging facts the real will become unreal, so please DONT DIVIDE and answer to the discussion what has been asked strictly.

That's because your knowledge about freedom struggle is zero. Take your ignorance somewhere else. Its nobody's fault if you are not aware of the plethora of freedom fighters from South, close minded North Indian fool.

Vijay shouting aloud that south india had an active part in the freedom struggle would only make u look like a fool, Open up whatever resources you have and be happy that you live in free India coz all u can think of is how to ban other languages
if it was not for the north indian freedom struggle you would have been still cleaning the toilets in british raj and would have been happy in your so called elite south indian society where being able to speak in unison with the english is considered hep.

Get a Life you moron

Everyone says it has good weather. But what about local people there? Heard bad things from all visitors there about abusive locals.

Then how it can even be counted good.

Bangalore
by sattrajit on Jun 22, 2011 08:30 PM

actually the indian IT was planned to be based in delhi NCR, Mohali, chandigarh, pune etc..because of good natural resources and support but during the 1980's the NCR region came under the influence of terrorists of khalistan movement and mumbai was too big and cosmopolitan for a new industry.

Bangalore then was a small tourist centre with minimal infrastructure but was lucky to get the industry due to repeated recommendations by Industrialists like bill gates and steve jobs with US govt.Later on Hyderabad and pune were added to the IT list . The govts of the respective states may install their statues to recognize their contribution.

Delhi is a great place to live
by Sanjeev on Jun 22, 2011 07:17 PM  | Hide replies

Delhi is a great place to live and earn, but has always been looked down upon by the so called survey guys , lets compare
Delhi Metro : Biggest Asset, any city in this list does it have?
Delhi Roads : Places like Mumbai and bangalore you can forget taking your vehicles out as there are no roads and no where to drive , in bangalore we basically drove in our backyards and in mumbai basically next to garbage Dumps.
Green Cover: Delhi has the highest green cover in Indian cities more than 31%.
Air port Express : No other city has even planned for one.
Shopping Heaven: There are Markets for everyone in delhi , delhi university shops at kamla nagar, South delhi at Sarojini, and the biggest and the best of markets at never seen prices anywhere else in India.
Full of Beautiful Monuments: In Delhi you can visit so many monuments and see its vast and rich history.
Colonies are not Dumps : Delhi is the only city other than chandigarh where the children can play next to their houses in parks and playgrounds as houses were planned long before with parks.

I dont understand why even a delhiiite doesnt support our beautiful delhi, a city is what you make it , it is our duty to stay in places we grew up and not just run away to other places because it is not what you like.

That way you will keep running and there will be no place left in India as when you cannot respect the land which gave birth to you , probably you will never ever respect any place on this earth.

Delhi Rocks!!!

Whats the Cry about safety , I have seen similar crimes in Bangalore and Pune or even much worse , when delhi is trying to make an effort so no one wants to join in , i believe in making changes living here rather than talk shit about a city which gave me the resources and the right frame of mind to think properly. There are a lots of changes in this city but for that rather than just hearing the news you have to come here live here and make this city your own.

People come from all over India , Bihar, UP , Haryana, Bengal, live here eat here have spent generations here and still say oh delhi , no i am not from here this city is not mine, how do you think would this city progress if the citizens themselves consider it the foster city, People who talk bad about it are the ones who rape this city and no one else.

If you talk ill about the city you haven't had the reception you get in the old settled places in delhi where people are helpful and they are genuine.

Unless people living in this city accept it as their own and run after pseudo hep culture and cities i dont know even if you will ever be safe in the so called safe havens that you see today

I studied the National Crime records bureau reports of entire India and let me show you an Eye opener who soever claims about , Bangalore, Mumbai and Pune as better than delhi because of crimes in Delhi , i think you guys who speak without understanding the city and even looking at the statistics are just fools defaming the beautiful City that is Delhi
Population(as per 2001 Census)

Delhi 127 Lakhs
Bangalore 56.87 lakhs
Mumbai 163 lakhs
Pune 37.56 lakhs

Crime statistics in 2009
1.Total Cognizable Crime

Delhi - 45247
Bengaluru - 32380
Mumbai - 31262
Pune - 13848

So i calculate per person crime index of the above 4 cities

Delhi = 3.5milliCrimes Per Person
Bangalore = 5.71milli crimes per person
Mumbai = 1.91 millicrimes per person
Pune = 3.68millicrime per person

This report is collborated from the national criminal record bureau 2009 report there are so many eye openers in this about each crime and its index per city , so according the to crime index in this list of 4 cities Delhi is the safest after Mumbai. So people vowing for Bangalore and Pune please do not defame any city before you know about it , its just for the pseudos here that i have done this research and showed everyone the mirror , and in the same report the crime graph for Delhi has dipped in almost every type of crime whereas for other cities it has risen, so now would you abandon your cities and think about other places. Its for us to make our cities safe. Hail Delhi
