I have been using a an Unlocked iPhone since january 2011 .. yes it is a factory unlocked version and not a jailbroken version.. I bought it in Singapore from an Apple store. for 888SGD.. god knows since when they are selling it there.. I know of my friends using similar device in Europe too.. so saying that "There is no news regarding the release of unlocked iPhones for the international community as Apple has shown no signs of offering the unlocked iPhone 4 all over the world.

Looks like the writer has missed the sales tax thing. For most of the states in US, there is about 9-10 % sales tax on the retail price mentioned. So its $649 59= $708 which is Rs. 31860 (exchange rate Rs45:$1).

buy a gevey turbo sim from ebay its a circuit with fits along with your regular sim ......as of now there is no unlock available for iphone4 apart from gevey sim....I have done it and it works ok for me

hi I did the same thing, I got locked iPhone4 from US and am currently using in India. I went to Gevey Sim google this it gives a microchip to be inserted with ur Sim Card. Its really cool and no need to Jailbreak Iphone and thus Warranty is not broken
