Please dont promote these things
by Kumar on Jun 15, 2011 09:21 AM  | Hide replies

These things are totally against our culture. We love our parents, children etc always. They are at the top of our mind every day. then why u promote these things. Westerners, who dont bother about their parents and children, remember them once in a year and hence such celebrations. Please learn good habits from the west.

Agreed. we Indians don't like Mother's day, Father's day, etc, etc days as most of us do it everyday. So just extend it by sending one beautiful picture of you and your father. As soon as it is published here, show that to your father.

What is this fathers day mom day, sis day nonsense???? Indians dont need specific days to show their love to mom,Pop etc it is inherent in their day to day life.

Are We Indians so good ?The moment son is married,he forgets his parents.Dont we deprive sisters of their property, give one saree in a year that too against wisheses of the wife. How much money a son spends for medicine for his father ? How many times a son takes his father for medical check up in a year.?Of course daughters are better.

Than I guess Indians don't need Rakshabhandhan, Diwali, Holi, etc anything...correct, because we love and protect our sister everyday and also we believe and pray our god everyday, why to have those special days either....correct ?

It's nice to see an article with such a beautiful topic that no one has posted anything hateful, abusive, or bashing anyone.

I miss and love my father very much
by amber abbas on Jun 14, 2011 07:25 PM  | Hide replies

My father was a doctor by profession, who was a mentor and good friend to all of us (5 kids). My parents worked very hard for our family. They could not able to build us properties but they gave us good education, character and social values, my father particularly. He encouraged us in sports as well. When I started earning, my father had an road accident & died. I could not able to serve him. I missed my change, every day I feel this. I love my father a lot, still I feel he is with me all the time - if I feel that he is dead and not with me, I started feeling depressed and showering. My mother is alive and I am doing my best to serve her. I also try to do some charity on my father's name. I try to help my father's age people with a feeling that I am serving my father instead. I request all the children to understand the importance of the parents and respect them. Serve them in any way you can. Kids, don't give pain to your parents by getting addicted to drugs, rash driving or drinking. You serve your parents, your kids will serve you. "God" will reward you in this world and here after....

I miss my father, an ordinary govt employee, too. He was a walking dictionary and had a beautiful handwriting. Sometimes I feel lucky there are times I do not miss him, for he comes in my dreams always. For that fleeting enjoyable moment that the dream lasts I talk to him, feel him, and believe he is alive, but when the dream ends my eyes are misty.

Girl's father by nature is protective but aggressive.
Boy's father is competitive but accomodative.
