Accidents by Two Wheelers
by vivek reddy on Jun 19, 2011 11:51 PM

The number of accidents occured by two wheelers is large. The design itself has no safety. Now we are having a flying motor bike

It looks like the flying objects from the movie Avatar. looking forward to see Indian cities change to Na'vi. but one thing not clear. what would happen if a powerful wind turns the hoverbike upside down? what if there is an engine problem? run-out of fuel? you crash on a sky scrapper? there are increased security concerns, imagine it is misused by chain snatchers, petty thiefs, hit and run, shoot and fly criminals? what about terrorists misusing it? what if you want to p33-p33 in the middle of air? what if you drop something from high above something which is potentially a fatal-junk (killer-litter)? an object of 50gm dropped from such heights on a man on the ground will definitely pierce his skull. my hunch is that, though the technical issues may be overcome, there are non-technical, security, infra-structure issues will not allow such hovercrafts to be commercially produced. same as the segway bikes, it will be forgotten instead of revolutionizing the market. Good for entertainment parks, just like go-carts.
