Given adequate samples, anything can be proven by statistical means. Women drivers are as good as their teachers. It is most likely that women were driving normally when a man came from behind or otherwise and did something crazy. Women drivers are as good. Many a time they are better than men.

It well known that Hyundai Santro, I10 drivers are the worst on indian roads and if it is a woman driver in a santro, My god. There is nothing I fear more on indian roads.

Well there is a reason to it, most of the i10 and santro owners are fresh drivers, coz people prefer i10 and santro as their 1st car, so their total drive hours is less, compared to experience drivers...
I am a men's Rights Activist. I have this to say. Media has been bashing up men and their rights for long - since feminism started. Sometimes we see a few stories like this too. One day, the media comes out with a statement that men are worse drivers; next they come out saying women are worse drivers. What the heck! STOP this gender war. We have seen bad drivers among both. Its individualistic and nothing to do with the estrogen or the testosterone. Work towards gender harmony.

Forgetting the survey, there are biological differences between the bodies & minds of Men & Women. It has a lot to do with the way we have evolved in million of years. Driving being one of them for it requires better cognate skills which again depends upon testosterone levels in body. Now biologically, women have lower level of testosterone resulting into not-so-good cognate (consequently driving) skills. Despite the well-intentions of feminists, these differences can not be wrinkled out overnight. It'll take centuries for that.
