Kedarnath a must visit place
by gourav garg on Jul 12, 2011 09:34 AM  | Hide replies

Hi,
2 year back I went to Kedarnath, it was really a very peaceful and beautiful pilgrim.
I want to know about the first picture, where is this place in Kedarnath, as we went and come back on same day I think we missed this.

A suggestion, if anyone want to go and come back on same day by trekking please carry the torch/tube light also as there is no light in the way and you will problem after 6 PM.

Ravi,
Upon temple opening a lot of them move up to Kedarnath and stay put in makeshift tents. However have also come across acouple of them who keep on venturing in higher reaches and only come down to Kedarnath or so for basic rations .

I had been to kedarnath about 5 years back.
along with my wife.
Though the journey is a little difficult, once you reach there, you would feel proud to be a Indian and an Hindu.

Nice to hear that....

I had visited a lot of places in India but have missed quite a few of good spiritual destinations like Kedarnath. A pang of disappointment hits my heart at the thought of wasting those years in not making these trips when we visited places like Dehradun or Hardwar. With age catching up, people like us have to be satisfied with such pictures and reports for we never know. God bless you and many others who took the time to make this visit.

Sure with Congress in power, they will use the recent Kerala Findings to fund Haj and Vatican trips. They are minority and have the constitutional right to eat Hindu Funds. But Buddhists, Jains and Parsis are majority !!). Also the famished Hindu families in Kashmir (minority) are taken care of very well too !!

i guess, its ur opinion based on hatred from muslims, i am not against it, after all it ur opinion and u will stand by it..
the reason by govt cannot offer grants , may be to inumberable places of worship in the country and further to that u do not need flights, as compared to haj season, wer they are assured bookings ,which works out cheaper , in span of 40 days, getting somthing like 3 lac hajees , to and fro, maked good business sense , plus the fuelling on return from saudi , petrol is approx 20 rs per liter

its a useless railway station. how do i get to rishikesh railway station from Delhi, Chandigarh, Kolkata etc etc.? you have to reach haridwar first and then take a train to rishikesh, and in the process waste a lot of time. Bus is a better option any day.
