Whats the power humans, the best of creations, if movement of sun and moon and stars can change his destiny.
Its man who landed on moon and not moon that landed on man, astrology, vaastu and such kind of junk which debase humans intelligence are refuge of scoundrels.
Paul Baba was the best, but even he couldnt predict his death.
The article may be right or wrong. But the art of astrology has been time tested. It is based on the experience of scholars for centuries/ millinums. They co related the events with the sun/moon/star signs which have definite bearings on human beings, after all we are the contents of all elements(earth, water, fire, air and akash) The relationship with other planets also are definite since Earth in which we ( in physical bodies)are born, grow and perish.) also belong to the solar syatem and does have some definite relationship in between. However the predictions are based on the comparision of the present planets/star position with that of the time tested records(almanacs/ scriptures) existing for centuries and foretell the related events. The method of comparision and the knowledge level of the individual differ from person to person. One has to use it just like pickle, not as the wholesome meals. I am sure nobody is having the complete knowledge on this art cum science.Only novices sparkle, their stars may twinkle for some time. I am not at all having any knowledge on any of these forecast arts/science. Thanks
Please note the name Dr.Abraham kovur from Kerala, a scientist by profession, has declared once that he wish to give a palm print to any astrologer. All what he has to predict is whether : 1.It is male or female, 2. Age of the person, 3.Profession of the person. He has kept a gift of Rs.5 lakhs for any astrologer pridicting right, so far there is no taker. After his death, his son has double the amount to Rs.10 Lakhs, yet there is no taker. So that is what astrology is, depending on the financial status of his/her client, astrologer decides the fate. Sometimes young girls, housewifes get raped in the pertext of curing them. Everything is possible in India, get knowledgable, get educated, right things will automatically fall in place.

Ramasamy Nagarajan, above has rightly explained to take these things as add ons, more like weather report, it might rain, so take an umbrealla, understand ? those u take it beyond that are nuts !!

u may find it hard to believe but waether forcasting has come a long way. it is quite possible to give you an accurate reading for an immediate period from the time of forecast with a near 100 percent accuracy rate every time.

It is possible to do this and they are doing it. Most of the Tsunami's and cyclones [ even a majority of the earthquakes]are already known before they hit. The fact is knowing about it and predicting it does not do anything to prevent it from happening. They can only forewarn. and probably take precautionary action including evacuation of the people . how effective they are in this is a different issue. even if evacuation is done destruction and damage top property and livestock will still be there. this cannot be prevented completely.

Astrology is just a science of the microcosmos in relation to the macrocosmos. There is nothing certain about it. Dont take astrology for predictions, Use it to understand the microcosmic world better. From understanding increases our wisdom and ability to understand our selves better

Dear friend, Astrology is based on the experience of scholars for centuries/ millinums. The method of comparision and the knowledge level of the individual differ from person to person. Ther are astrologists who forecasted major events. B.Raman of Bangalore forecasted that Indira Gandhi would be ending with bloodshed! I am sure nobody is having the complete knowledge on this art cum science.Only novices sparkle, their stars may twinkle for some time. I am not at all having any knowledge on any of these forecast arts/science. Thanks

A lying astrolger will have the influence of Venus in the 10th house which indicates sciences like astrology... He might have a depleted saturn which would explain his non adherence to truth. In you case, I think you have a depleted Jupiter that makes you incapable of understanding the subtle sciences ...

The western world might say the same thing abt the indian jyotish. Ppl need to look at both perspective and the good out of both.
Astrology especially (and only) Vedic Astrology called as Jyotisham has been recognised as a science by the supreme court of India. There was a case by 2 IIT professors deriding Astrology as mere superstition, Prof Rao(Founder Astrology Magazine) fought the case and defeated the two scientists in court.
Vedic Astrology has now been established as a perfect science. This is not a mere tool to know the future. And once again, the moon , the sun and other planets are not merely studied here. Then it becomes astronomy.
There is a microcosmos in us just like the macro cosmos. Just like there is space outside, there exists space inside too. The five elements that exists outside exist inside too. The study of the link between the micro and macro cosmos is called as Jyotish or the science of light or in modern terms Astrology

and once again the vast Indian crowd is deluded by this Jyotish. They think that these planets can control them in some strange way. From my deep knowledge of Jyotish I tell you this, These planets are nothing but your own thinking pattern. They have been formed by your own past thinking/action pattern in your past life. So you can very well loose that thought that something alien is taking control of your life and like what Prem says, a good happy and postitive outlook can actually lead your lives in the right way. To add perspecctive, do we always worry over the oxygen coming into your brain and the chemical reactions happening there. It is all automatic. Ssimiliarly the planets which are a representation of the microcosmos functions automatically whether you recognise it, or not or worry about it.
But one thing, we should not remain ignorant of this vast and deep science called Jyotish. We should know and salute the founders Rishi Varahamihira, Rishi Vyasa and Rishi Jaimini for this knowledge

Its right that we should not bother too much about all these changes happening. After all our life depends not on these planeterian changes rather it depends more on what we think & do. So dont worry friends, be positive, happy & enjoy ur life to fullest.
Re: HI...
by Pen diamond on Jan 16, 2011 11:51 AM
you are totally right, our focus should be on our selves except on some outside planets. But in Jyotish, the planets are not outside, they are a reference to the capabilities of the self inside. For example; the mercury is called Budh and represents the intellectual capacity, the constellation that mercury is present represents the intellectual direction that it takes.
Young boys and girls must realise the vastness of Jyotish and start respecting it. But using it as a future forecast and wasting energy on this other than realising this knowledge source is a deep disrespect to Jyotish and waste of our time too
