Arrey Yaar IIM's is nothing Yaar............if u look @ all the top honchos like Sunil BhartI mITTAL,Laloo yadav, Ram vilas Paswan, Sonia Gandhi etc etc....werent IIM products....just pure bizness acumen....and frankly speaking I am not a gr8 fan of CAT bcos itz absolutely nothing...a no Brainer...entrance exams are not a true indicator of a person's aptitude...one can start so many businesses @ less then 50000 INR or may be 0 investment and still earn gud money!!

Boss, get your facts straight.. Do you know more than half of CEO's an dtop executives in India are from IIM or IIT.. and what have Laloo or Paswan or Sonia got to do with "bizness acumen"..
I am not saying IIT/IIM is end of the world but respect what is great.. don't talk like fox with sour grapes story..

Agree.Half the CEO are from IIM/IIT because they get good break at start of there career. If a person devotes 15-20 years of his life he will obviously reach somewhere and may become even CEO of a company.Smart guys start there own company and become CEO themselves at a younger age, rather than waiting for 15-20 years.Look at Mark Zuckerberg.IIM is good for average people who know they dont have any extraordinary skills to start there own company. And this so called achievement after giving 15-20 years of life doesnt mean great progress.

There may be one Mark Zuckerberg, one bill gates, one HP, one NR Narayana Murthy Out of 6-7 billion people on earth. Others also need to eat. Being a MBA from a premier institute will put any one up there among TOP earners in any country. Just because Mark Zuckerberg made millions from his Face Book every one cannot.

Limitless progress is what I guess the extremely ambitious lot is targeting .Really doubt if IIM A/B/C guess join those institute to earn a decent livelihood.Business is always on there mind, but they fall into this trap of degree becoming more important than the person himself. They end up projecting there IIM degree for there entire life.I realized this and hence was able to kick off my IIM K and IIM L admits 2-4 years. And I am making very decent earning which is good by even IIM standards.

Indians are still in Stone Age?
by MGR on Jan 12, 2011 07:22 PM  | Hide replies

If Import of Technology is banned, India will go to Stone Age ie., making Statues, Temples, Forts, Mahals, Minars etc., out of Stones.
