Spend more .. but spend in India
by Southern Pride on Feb 23, 2011 09:13 PM  | Hide replies

Indians should come out of age old concept of "saving money". It is high time that we realize economy can grow only by spending. Government should advocate spending more but keep the money in India. For that matter, corruption is also not bad for the country as long as they keep the money within the country.

Mantras given place for money
by Chandrasekaran geetha on Feb 23, 2011 08:40 PM  | Hide replies

Marriage is made sacred by mantras and rituals in our sanadhana dharma which is unfortunately replaced by ostentations and money power which is also one of the reasons for increasing amount of marital disharmony between couples.

stri dhan. the part of inheritance daughter should get from her dad. Not husband or inlaws getting it. helps in emergency and always good to have your own money than go to a new house penniless and voiceless. ( I think - if dad can afford should give)

Don't invite anyone if money is important
by Srinivas R on Feb 23, 2011 07:03 PM

Best way to save money is get the marriage done in the registrar office. Don't invite anyone. You save 100%. Because the method described above is only for the rich who can afford thailand trip at the cost of relatives and friends.

Rich guys wasting money is no problem. The tragedy is with the poors who have to follow in the foot steps of rich because of the pressures of the society. It becomes a bigger tragedy in India because 80% population of this country is poor to dirt poor!
