The article is, though good, but a fraction of resume writing procedure. Much can be added to it. 1. The very first thing is that one should mean and prove what he writes in the CV. Most of the people write things to impress the employer. This gives a very negative impression once they are employed and not able to prove it. 2.A single CV may not suffice for all jobs. Instead it should focus on the position one is applying for. 3.In Indian system, we come across mostly conventional types of CVs with details such as Name, Father's name, Age,Sex, Nationality, Permanent address, Correspondence addres, Marital status etc. Most of these words have become obsolete such as sex, nationality, marital status, although they may work at exceptional places. 4.Keep in consideration the place(country specifically) where one is applying for. For example, Americans prefer a single page CV with name, email, qualification, specialization and achievements etc. to name a few. If applying for middle east countries, then one needs a comprehensive Cv with as much details one can put in, since they (employers) consider number of pages also apart from the details. 5.I come across many CVs mentioning computer skills (windows, MS office, internet explorer etc) Can you imagine who is going to employ a person for browsing internet, unless he specializes in some development or programming work.
These are a few additional things which might be taken into consideration while writing a CV.
A neat and clean CV should essentially carry professional, educational track records and experience in chronological order. Employer further analyze the mental framework of the candidate if it matches to there's corporate culture and values. If the candidate fits with above two then it is mere the salary for which he gets in or not!!! Keep your CV brisk and appropriate to the job requirement. Read job requirement very carefully and then draft your CV. You need not be a wordsmith for drafting your CV, be honest with your profile, expectation and career goals. It is very essential to describe yourself verbally on the personal interview session where they judge your communication, analytical thinking and career objective. All the best to all who are genuinely want to add productivity in the organization and be a part of their active team.
At last, some useful article from rediff. Of late, articles such as sexiest kisses in bollywood, or daring coverpage girls only get posted. Please continue this rediff.
Yes, any CV which speaks loud and tall is viewed adversely. Though it is perfectly OK to just cite your individualistic skills in plain words, it is totally unfair to tell by using adjectives. It is a fact that any special skills travels very fast in this global village from one end to the needy end. A nice article for job aspirants and kudos for the same.
