Life is not always about savings and kids.. you have a life to live and enjoy too....so pack up and go. There is a lot of fun waiting to be explored.

Article for Certain Segment of Indian Society who afford
by Bhajiya on Feb 12, 2011 11:40 AM

Well good to know in India good hotels are exist because I travel to Africa and Middle East and god grade enjoy all best expensive hotels of course free due to Interviews.....wink wink otherwise I also cannot afford to stay in such hotels.

But knowing that in India also have good hotels not up to Middle East or East African Standards because East Africa is African Safari Destination of the World and this is main source of income. Middle East due to business climate and expensive Arab life style they match Europian and US Standards of services in all big Hotels.

India i believe still needs to improve the quality and infrastructure and amenities in such 5 star and 7 star Intercontinenttal Hotels.

Palace Hotels are like Hut (ZOPADA) kind of concept hotels for fashion but not good to stay for business.

Actually some of these places are very economical. I've been to to both Camp Noel and Orange County and I found them to be affordable.. plus amazing service.. no words for the service man.. simply brilliant.. paid 17k for 4 nights and 5 days at Camp Noel during off season.. Orange county was at 23-25k for 3N/4D.. Beautiful places..

what abt prices?
by Charlie Tango on Feb 11, 2011 08:21 PM  | Hide replies

It would have been great if they would have mentioned rent per day and also separate lists for all segments: budget, high class and luxury.

Charles,

These and all other similar articles are published to make the majority of Indians struggling with the cost of living and living standard issue to feel more miserable!

The best thing to do is think that these articles are targeted at the super rich or 0.0005% of Indians, which most of us are not!!

No.. usually top rated hotels have starting accommodation usually around USD 80 to USD 100. i.e. 3500 to 4000 depending on the season it goes up to 150 t0 200 usd. My job is the travelling kind and I know a lot about these places as staying at a hotel for me is more like going home. Most of the ppl here are cribbing abt the costs. Cribbing does not get you anywhere. No body stopped them to work smart and make more money. Ive come from simple beginnings myself and know that. So instead of cribbing abt the cost focus on making it a small expense. And life is about the pleasures you give and moments you enjoy and they are worth more that pesky 20K.
