'You cannot be lonely if you like the person you're alone with.' This quote by Dr. Wayne Dyer means that one should like his own self, and then he will never be lonely. This is a self-improvement quote and has nothing to do with romance. But then, rediff has always prided on surviving with low quality journalism, and this is a perfect example.
And love is blind.The old Sansrit adage- "Kaamaathuraanaam,Na Bhayam Na Lajja"could also be appropriate in case of the love birds.The other side of the coin is that,it is the identification of two souls prepared for supreme sacrifice,in case it is a true love, not carried over by mere infatuation which is often mistaken for love.True love is different from the momentary lust.History is replete with several instances where wars were fought,empires were ruined & lives were sacrificed just to prove one's true love towards the other partner,of course with equal or even more number of instances of the partner being duped by the false or pretended love.Much can be said on either side;but as the ultimate proof of pudding is eating,the harmony that flourishes amongst the two lovers over a period of time even after marriage speaks of the sincerity of their true love in case if it is so.Love is the pet subject for almost all the writers of the world.It has been the favoutite topic for many cine poets/script writers disputing that it is not mere-"boy meets girl "but some thing certainly beyond that.Its fever has shakened/broken the stony hearts of many tyrannical rulers too.The bondage of true love is unshakable,but the way it is manifested by mere presents on a particular valentine day may not really testify the truthfulness,sincerity & honesty in love-some thing beyond the mundane objects.
