You wont believe it, but that's what I have done exactly.
I am a senior DBA and work is almost always stressful. However, I do prayers and meditation (make it a point not to miss them most of the times) for 15-20 minutes (the typical sandhyavandhana).
I also avoid TV like the plague when I get back home from work. Instead, I just start on the treadmill for 20 minutes and drink plentiful of water through the day.
I am now doing home gardening, mainly vegetable growing. Already harvested chillies, tomatoes and brinjal. I also went and did some document excavation of my forefathers and realized they did indeed have farm lands. Got the krishi certificate and now bought a 2 acre land. 70-80 coconut trees, rest is chillies, tomatoes and beans. I try to go there once in every 3 or 4 weeks. Whenever I do, I whole-heartedly indulge in mud, soil, the plants, weeding etc. Absolute joy. No human can do this kind of destressing. Gonna quit job very soon!

Hello amruth,

What you are asking for is personal details not liable to be replied to. However, all I can say is that my future is secured in almost every way. I have a 60x40 house/site in a prime location in a big city. I have (re-)invested wisely and taken care of funds to be available, adding (over-estimated) inflation as well.
Even my son's half life is secured.
And I have been in the IT industry for more than 20 years :) How old are you, son?
And I was brought up in a village, often working lands.
Let us quit hypocricy and start working toward a better living.
