Great phone!

Got it from US last month from bestbuy. Till date.. great experience with the phone.... lightning fast and this doesn't hang like Galaxy S. Complains - 1) Camera could have been better 2) doesn't comes with gorilla glass 3) hands free is very ordinary.

No Substance...pretty ordinary review
by Laxmikanth A on Feb 07, 2011 10:39 PM  | Hide replies

No real substance in this review; pretty bland and few errors too....continues to refer to Eric S as CEO...whereas he is gone for a while now.

The quality of content on rediff has gone down a lot.

Eric Schmidt is still Google's CEO.

Almost the same with one Difference
by mohit bhutani on Feb 07, 2011 08:59 PM

there is hardly any difference between the two so far as features are concerned. the only MAJOR difference is the fact that its GOOGLE fone. what that means is that the updates will be pushed regularly by google and samsung will have no say in it. no proprietoship issues out here.
Camera flash is also included which was surprisingly missing from Galaxy S

these specs sound familiar
by Telveer on Feb 07, 2011 08:50 PM

I have a Galaxy S (Samsung) phone and these specs sounds exactly the same! The only major difference seems to be the curved screen

Its a good phone..
by nkv prasad on Feb 07, 2011 08:49 PM

I am currently using Google N1 which is a very nice phone. I have friends here using Nexus S and the initial impression is, it is very similar to N1 with very minor changes. Both run on Android so application, softwares everything same..
Google maintains the standards and quality, I am very impressed with my phone. Only complaint is battery life .. but its a trade off.

And iPhone 4, forget it. My wife used to have one and we sold it because of the reception issues and bought a blackberry.

why thinking of google android and apple iphone alone?
by kanakambal krishnan on Feb 07, 2011 07:24 PM  | Hide replies

We have the most technically advanced phone OS available now - Windows Phone 7.. and why this article has avoided discussion around that? Guys, check out WP7 (Windows Phone 7)..

definitely technically advances... doesn't have copy-paste functionality. WP7 is not included here because the article discusses about advanced smartphones... not advanced crap :-p

very good os environment - yes
technically advance - NO
reason - still a evolving os
been using it but have switches back to iphone, as few imp features are still missing, but the gap will be filled within a year, and yes the only thing people talk bout is copy-paste, friends ios was without it when it was launched and now its a differnt story
