It is a fact that Indore is growing withleaps and bounds also the educational and Medical hub in central india but the Town ships have come in the city are there for the last one decade and still starving for the customers although the investment has been made by 20-30 % but they are almost deserted . May be after TCS- INFOSYS setup in 2-3 years the picture may change. But today the picture is very dismal if you ask to an investor.
fall hook, line and sinker for such hype built up by vested interests and rush to give all their hard earned money to crooks !!
Years after their money is gone, most of them continue to sit on their worthless bits of 'real estate' proclaiming to whoever will listen that their investments will now fetch millions !!
Only those among them who have tried to sell their 'real estate' will know (but will never admit in public) that the actual price they may get is much much lesser than what they had been proclaiming !!

Come on dont cry "sore Grapes" just because you havent or cannot purchase a flat! I had purchased a flat in resale(Transferred to that city) and reresold that flat(Transferred from the city after 6 years)and earned as handsome a profit as i would have had i purchased land!In addition i saved my rent for 75 months!(A whopping Rs 3,50,000@Rs. 5000 per month!without calculating the interest thereon!) And I purchased a Flat in the new city I went to!and am living in it now! Please dont spread Rumours - I do agree there are some pockets where the Builders have Hiked the Prices but not every where! If one has some Brains - He cant lose out! (Even in case of land - there are many risks)

you are correct, but Surat is already developed and far ahead of vadodara so there are still opportunities in vadodara to develop.

I would urge all the rediff users to watch CNN programme called FUTURE CITIES,the editor also after watching this programme will understand that as far as end product from an Indian Builder is concerned,what poor quality we get compared to apartments in other cities around the world for the same or even less price.
