Madam Geetha, I am 62 yrs & have been doing exercises for last 45 yrs but breaks on and off. I suffered back pain between discs S6-L1 (3 mths ago after trip to Jaipur & going over the palaces, forts etc) & was advised to wear belt (which I am doing) & also bhujangasana which also I am doing regularly. This is over & above other micro exercises suggested by Ortho. My back pain is mainly on account of long (50-100 Kms though not at a stretch) bajaj scooter driving (which was not balanced) which I have cut down to just 5-10 Kms a day, during the last 20 yrs & not more than 2 to 3 Kms at a stretch. I do not know the kind of belt I am using but gives support to my lumber region. I do not have pain now. Can you suggest any Yoga poses which may relieve me the danger of aggravating the problem & avoid belt at least after a year or two but undertake long walks etc. I also suffer from Neck pain which at times leads to giddyness ( I dont use cervical collar but do neck exercises). Appreciate if you can give me any guidelines to my email ID rkanna007@rediffmail.com
