Graduates not employble is a graet comdey of india only
by sivasubramanian on Aug 30, 2011 08:50 AM

I am seeing in Gulf the youth who has half of indian graduate sincerity and dedication and intelegience are well employed and soon they become seniors in their respective field,
In india nepotism/favouratism/casteism which make amny of the laeders in the industries to reject majority of the educated youth as they don't belong to his acste /religion/region.
Further indian caste are named differently in each aprt even though they are same in the four caste ladder for Ex-Shetty -Baniya,
Devar-Kshatriya, even many agriculturist can be called as vaisya.
such small difference make lot of suffering to the entrant,
Only initial support are required and then we acn mannage easily.
Now i am employed as Company Site representative for an oil company,
But when i aws out from the college i was not able to find any suitable position atleast for 9 years after graduation.
So i don't think iam more inteligent now than that period.
Some time not only intelegence many other attitudes counts which is not cultiavted in indian society except in Kerala christians/muslims,
I advice complete interaction of youth with many others in common gatherings like church weekly meeting with all well wishers you can meet,
But our society even we go to temple there we live suspicion than in mutual blessing mood.
We ahve to chnage and our social conflicts should be withered out for youth mental suitability in the industry engaement.

Related perspective - see how MIT thinks
by Devdutt Nayak on Aug 29, 2011 01:45 PM

We should see how Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Stanford University think about education.

Call it by whatever political name you want - egalitarianism, socialism, philanthropy, soft power, empowerment, etc etc, the core is very simple:

Do unto others as you would wish done unto you.

That's it.

MIT has an Open University (OCW). What they have studied, they make freely available for the rest of the world, so that no deserving student loses out.

They share all their methods, their tests, their knowledge, even their tools are open source and free.

These types of people write blogs explaining the topic, explaining how they did everything, explaining its use to society.

They believe that the level of intellectual and ethical maturity they have reached, the benefits that such development brings, must be available to everyone else.

Why should they do this?

Only one answer makes sense -
Do unto others as you would wish done unto you.

Now enter strategists, political science students, journalists, ideologues, philosophers, economists, and you see this changing from strict equality of opportunity to some form of control sturcture.

You get a hierarchy of needs, social pyramid, you get comments like "education without employment can create problems" etc.

This is selfishness and lack of empathy speaking, whatever the terminology.

Good, Bad and Ugly
by aus on Aug 29, 2011 11:26 AM  | Hide replies

Certainly. "unemployed young men are 'sometimes a force for good, sometimes for bad and ugly..".
Anna supporters is an example of 'good'.
Babri demolition squad is the example of "bad'.
And gujarat and Kalamadal rioters are the examples of 'bad".

Frog story
by om pandey on Aug 26, 2011 09:10 AM

put a frog in pot containing water and keep a burner under it. As water gets heated up the frog comes on top of water and start circling the pot in hope that water will get better and will get finally boiled but will never come out of it.Now through a frog in boiling water as soon as you put in it it will jump out of water.Fight againt corruption is keeping the water warm not throwing frogs in boiling water. Anna knows very little of all this.
