FASHION SHOWS ARE TO TELL SKIN IS THE GARMENT NOT THE FABRIC!
by Kabeer on Aug 20, 2011 02:51 PM

The basic purpose of a fashion show is to tell emphatically that your skin is your best cover!

It is about to tell how best you must take care of your skin as it is the God given garment to your body.

The reason we the fashion designers like to expose more skin is to tell the customers this fact.

Now having said that we offer fabrics to contrast the skin so that customers know how much they have to take care of their skin and how it looks againt a specific garment.

Here skin is the garment! not the fabric.

Fabric only works as a background to highlight the tone and complexion and spotlessness of a particular skin.

When different skins are showcased, for better appreciation a particular colour of fabric in a particular design is chosen.

Very rarely we get the best skin all over the body.

Sometimes we get the best possible skin on face and sometimes on the arms and sometimes behind and sometimes on legs and thighhs.

Depending on which part of the body the skin is better or distingushingly good looking we choose a particular garment to offer as a contrast.

If the skin is better on thighhs we expose that part and cover other parts of the body with the garment.

Similarly if the skin is better on abdomen, we expose that part and cover legs and bosom.

When the skin is gorgeous on behind we purposefully cover the entire frontal portion with a fabric and expose the entire skin behind; here the viewer sees the garment first and skin behind later

Skinshow

To the women related to me I wouldn't encourage participating in the lustful events like this....
But then I do not feel offended if a few women are interested in portraying themselves as objects of passion and desire....But if they are happy with it so am I....

its just the children that sometimes concern me ... :-(

by Vijay Kurhade on Aug 20, 2011 12:46 PM

cause i doubt if people are really crazy to buy such horrible dresses at high price just in name of designer brands

So skin show should be main purpose of fashion shows

Indecency lies in the eyes & minds of the beholder

perception/interpretation of sights & sounds is dependent mostly on the subject and partly on the object. The world of so called glamor, firstly creates a market for showbiz. Secondly, the stakeholders exploit this artificial demand by supplying the needs in short quantities. The demand for more makes them richer.
Now the question is how long will the demand last? Obviously, they will make hay (read money) when the sun shines (read demand lasts). It is certain that society will be desensitized and faster, the better. Then we can channel our energies for truly creative pursuits.

Does this outfitexpose too much?
by prodosh sen on Aug 20, 2011 12:11 AM

Well,if you consider the covered parts of the body less than the uncoverd parts,it could be termed 'too much'.
Conversely,if the parts still remains to be covered one might say 'not too much'since more remained to be covered!
It's like a glass 'half empty or half full!
