All tabs cost atleast 10 to 12 thousands more than what it is costing in USA. Acer's A500 tab costs significantly less than this Samsung tab. And Acer has windows based tab, w500 too. Which costs about 32,500. Both of these tabs are very cheap in USA.
Wifi 16GB is available for $499 and 32GB for $599 in US. In India, 150% price is minimum what we pay comapred to international market. I am sure Govt. gets its cut but price difference is ridiculous. It applies to electornics devices and brands.
Samsung is selling the Tablet for Rs 33000 to 36000 and Reliance has come out with a tablet selling at 13000 only, with 75% features the same so I guess these people make lot of margin by selling it high in the begining.

Prices for tablets are ridiculous in INDIA. With that money I can buy a 16GB RAM Desktop PC with six cores!
There is lot of margin in these tablets, that's why APPLE is #1 company in the world in terms of market cap beating Exxon!
Hey Friends ,does anyone know that we Indians are competitors for IPAD as well? One manufacturer has come out with ADAMs tablet PC,which is giving IPAD a run for its money...

If "Notion Ink" from ADAMS is what is being talked about - then its far from being termed a success . Android wobbles on large screen tablets , ADAMS has been struggling to fix it . Their display is a novelty though - first of its kind !
