The festival of great joy for sisters for Indian sisters. But today these festivals are strugling for their existence in the wake of Valentine day, friends day and so many days which are coming in this country through globalization and we are giving importance to these days than our ancient cultural festivals. Situation is worsening day by day in India.

I am not saying that don't celebrates v-day,d-day etc. etc. but also give same importance to festivals like Rakhi. Such a great festival for brothers and sisters, I don't have sister so I know how great it is.

V-day,Friends Day are promoted by the MNC to boost their sales and most of our Indians think they're "cool" and "modern" if they celebrate them...
whereas Rakshabandhan is "old-fashioned"...Its a time when many girls tie it to a the guys whom they dont like and know that the guy has other intentions with her... Poor Guy will have to live the fact the girl he "loved/infatuated" has become a "sister"
