Though this is not an entirely new concept..
atleast they've gone past the prototype and looking to market the chulha..
Many good ideas dont materialise in india due to lack of marketing...

Lets not treat the poor girl like the ones we treat in rediff spotted section...

by Raj Thackersey on Aug 05, 2011 02:34 AM  | Hide replies

how this chula is better than a mud stove??

I see that its just a cylinder with a hole to feed bio fuel

Am looking at an explanation as to how it enhances combustion

a mud chulha doesnt get enough oxygen and produces monoxide which not only reduces the fuel capacity..it also produce smoke..
This will allow more air circulation so the fuel is completely burned and less smoke is produced..

One of my frnd did this for a interschool science exhibition...

than which actress came in towel, shorts etc

I heard that MIT spends more money on research than the entire Indian govt...We cannot compete them in technology..

But we can make life better for our fellow indians by providing cheaper and better alternatives..

The intentions of the two might be good but there needs to be more done with regard to proper information delivered in an effective way. The video at the end shows a Woman who obviously does not know how to knead dough. She has made a Chapatti that is way too soft. She does not even seem to know how to flip it on the griddle. She proceeds to remove it from the griddle unbaked on one side. Not a very effective way of popularizing your product.

Their attitude needs to be commended. Practical or impractical....innovation should be promoted, only then a country can produce its indigenous products instead of relying on foreign products time after time.
Innovation, Patriotism, Leadership qualities, Cleanliness, Learning at least 5 languages of our country should be made compulsory in School in a fun, simplified and easy to learn way.
