as far as i know that the lawyers state that the husband's income needs to be shared within couples. but the wife's income cannot be shared. i want to know from the indians, why this double standard?????????? wife will have 50% share in husband's income but wife will not share 1% with her husband as per indian law while we boast of women empowerment & similar status to both in society.

your view is wrong. Becase in my family my wife is sharing her full income with me. It is the understanding between both.

You didnt get the point. Legally speaking, suppose during divorce point, wife need not pay a single paise to her hubby even if she is a billionair and he is jobless or a permanent hadicap. But compensation will be heavy if it is other way.
