Honda CBR vs Pulsar
by A R on Aug 07, 2011 06:02 AM

I own Honda CBR 250RR and I tried my friends Pulsar 180, which was nowhere close to Honda CBR. Moreover Honda CBR is world second fastest in 250 cc range, after Aprilia.

Honda Problem
by Shyam Sunder on Aug 03, 2011 09:32 AM  | Hide replies

The biggest problem with Honda bikes is that there is no proper servicing facility available even cities like Delhi. I took a Honda Stunner 1 and 1/2 years ago but not able to maintain it properly purely because of lack of good service centers. Hopeless guys good for nothing. Such problems will not be there for Bajaj vehicles.

As an user of Pulsar I can say that there will be no comparison of Hero Honda Bike with Pulsar. Pulsar is the beast so far the Comfort, Speed, Balance & Millage (with respect to Hero Honda)are concerned. But also Pulsar has certain limitations. Like Block Piston may get damaged due to unconscious handling or Vibration may come if not lubricated properly. But Hero Honda Bikes take birth with Vibration. Also Gear changing is very smooth in Pulsar & requires feather touch. In a single word Pulsar is 100 miles ahead to any Hero Honda Bike. I'm not Pulsar freak & it's about the truth

Don't compare CBR with any Indian bike. The CBRs have been around for decades and they are some of the best performing motorcycles in the world.

If you are looking for mileage, buy a moped.

P220 story - Quality issues
by Hari on Aug 02, 2011 07:09 PM  | Hide replies

I owned a P220 FI model since 2008 Aug and have disposed off the bike some 3 months back. I had paid the booking amount for this bike on the same day of launch of R15. As there were no reviews available of R15 and I was in need of a bike I went ahead with payment for the P220. P220 seriously suffers from lack of quality in critical parts. After 12k KM, one of the valves broke off, ricocheted so fiercely mid cycle with the cylinder head that it was damaged. I had to replace cylinder assembly at a cost of 5k. Bajaj didnt replace the parts free of cost citing one missed service, which was itself a lie. In a period of 2 month inactivity, the petrol tank gathered rust. Now the new owner is complaining that he cannot raise the bike beyond 100 as the engine strokes are getting choked. Sad state for the most selling "performance bike" in the world. Now they are not selling FI bike anymore.
