dumb and dumber
by brian crasto on Dec 29, 2014 05:03 PM

It reminds me of the film dumb and dumber. The seniors and the managing staff will make the lower staff feel make you inferior. They think they know everything and the seniors are the favorites. especially in the financial market. Everyone will pretend they know the stock market and ultimately make huge loses for their clients as it is happened in 2008 and 2011. the seniors were all sacked and their clients went into naked debit. I have seen senior management behaving like they are gods. No doubt most of the talented people have left the shores of the country where even a ordinary peon has become a bank manager in a gulf country

hiring and firing

I have a experience in Coffee Day
It is filled with full of Boss relatives and well wishers and their working nature is horrible..
Simply sit and laugh for whole month or year, whenever some wrong occurs, they blame employees (It was explained to them long before the problem occurs). At last they fire or made to leave the company and..
hire some more... HIRING AND FIRING IS BUSINESS

Bosses are Dumb EveryWhere! India is no exception

I agree with Sangeeta Menon.

Even though, my boss isn't dumb, he is plain lazy. He thinks he can talk about it and appeal to everyone that job is getting done. Everytime he walks out of the meeting, I ask him "So, how are we going to approach this whole deliverable?". His standard answer, "That's why I hired you. My job is to make verbal promises. I say ok! I don't know what you spoke in there. Until the last day of the project, he never let me attend a single meeting. My job was to imagine the whole scenario in air or my head!

The second boss. She is so smart. However, you are good in your job of the previous era. This is technology era. You need to run with wolves here.

She rejects a proposal saying "This won't work blah blah blah". I still proceed with it and get it approved.

However, despite the first embarassment, she sits in the meeting and loses her temper every minute knit picking on why software does this, and not that.

Basically, this is a classic case of having achieved so much in technology in the last 10 years and forgot to use internet and google.

I learnt a lesson last week.

Don't write 1 million lines of code without checking if there is an Out of the Box software with the same identical lines.

Never Re-invent the wheel. BAd career move

Bosses Without Domain Expertise Are Dumb
by Sangita Menon on May 01, 2011 10:56 AM

I have seen it is the men/women who get to become bosses due to their qualifications with no domain knowledge whatsoever...it is these guys who become dumb and dangerous.

I once worked in a French Bank. The boss was not a local, so he used to get paranoid whenever he heard two or three people talking and laughing. We found it amusing when he said, 'You are not talking about me, no?' and later we knew he was feeling insecure.

Once his driver came to ask a staff about something. The boss rushed out of his cabin and lashed at the employee for talking to the driver. "Why you are talking to him? You are checking with the driver about my movements? You think I am idling away and not going to meet the clients? "
He then told the driver that he will be fired if he even steps inside the bank again !!!

We learnt that, he could be vicious and dangerous when he got into the insecure and dumb spells!!!

Main Problem is not that your boss is dump, the problem is that i feel that i know more than him/her and he is just a fool. entire work is done by me and he is taking credit.... so people come out of the box... you are smart but your boss is smarter than you thats why he is boss....so get back to your work
