I am a software professional and am currently working on softwares in a government organisatoin. i have done MSc Informatics(IT) from Delhi University and have 1.5 years of experience.

Coming from a government organisation, will i be considered a good bet at the time of placements... would it be against me since i am looking to switch from the public to the private sector?

An i am targetting HR/Finance/IT as my specializations. Which should i go for if you suggest MBA could be a good option after MSC.

MBA from where ?

MBA won't help you in your career unless you pass out from some pedegreed college. That is why IIMs ISB etc score high. Major corporates don't even bother about other MBAs. They will end up in the lower rung of the organization along with non MBAs! MBAs are dime a dozen nowadays and even 'pan shop' keepers are asking for MBAs as assistants!

MBA

MBA or no MBA - it is most important that the managerial personnel should have some 'common sense' in dealing with the colleagues, subordinates and not misuse the authorities vested and confidence deposed in him by the Owners. Have seen many Managers grossly misusing the powers and victimising, humiliating the experienced staff when they are not able to satisfactorily clarify certain issues. Such short cuts may help in 'short run' but not in the 'long run'.
