keeping away from fraud through internet false promise of money
by satish jindal on Apr 16, 2011 10:46 PM

if you want to keep your hard money intact never keep financial transaction data on computer as it may be a source of shifting to other persons anywhere in world,it may be london, paris, tokyo, moscow, perth new york, rome. to name a few cities in world.it would difficutl to get the fund from that foreign city if it is covered by FEMA.it is right that don't carried away by offering millions of dollars, pounds, euros for nothing simply to get vital information about you.reporting matter to police or cbi may land you in trouble rather than of any help.simply delete the message from your site and relax.

Phone bkg helps fraudsters.Banks save money but we lose our deposits/savings.Avg ph call takes 10 mins, waiting time is 5 mins on interactive voice. We lose time and ph bill.Maybe the ph cos. pay a commn to the banks.
Today, 14/4/11 at 11.45 am, I got a call from SBI saying my credit limit was raised to 1 L. The lady then asked me for my acct and date of birth. I refused and the conv ended abruptly. Will SBI pl confirm.

FIRST THING IS TO CHECK WITH BANK EMPLOYEES SPECIALLY WHO IS WORKING IN SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATION. THEY ARE THE ONLY ONE KNOWS THE PASSWORD AND VALUABLE INFORMATIONS ABOUT THE CUSTOMERS. STRANGERS ARE SEEKING HELP FROM INSIDE BANK EMPLOYEES. TO CURB THIS FRAUD EVERY FREQUENT CHANGE THE EMPLOYEES TO BRANCH TO BRANCH AND KEEP CHANGING PASSWORD WHICH WILL AUTOMATICALLY SEND SMS TO CUSTOMERS. IN RECENT PAST ALSO MOST OF THE FRAUD/HACHING HAPPENED WITH THE HELP OF INSIDE EMPLOYEES ONLY.

Its better dont keep huge amounts in accounts enabled with net banking.. Maintain 2 accounts. 1 for online payment purpose another for safe deposit of large amounts and use debit card..dis makes your life simpler and safe.. i keep below 10k for ticket booking, bill payments, emergencies etc.., and i manage 4 accounts..

also my net account password is totally different from all my email and other passwords..i use 1 general pwd for all my email ids, 1 common password for all ticket bookings, and 1 unique password for net banking.. so it is easy for me to remember.. life gets simpler n safe..

INFORMATION ON PHONE LEADS TO FRAUD
by Moses Joseph on Apr 12, 2011 10:15 AM  | Hide replies

I do not like phone banking. Banks do not like to deal with customers in person, but advise us to contact phone banking. We cannot differentiate on phone what is genuine and what is fraud.
Banks should employ more staff at the counters and stop the practice of phone banking.
