I think the biggest, most noticeable change has been the relations between the two largest communities of the sub continent. Many Muslims and Hindus view each with suspicion and that unfortunately was the fall out of the fateful day that the Babri Masjid was demolished, much because of the ineffective governance at the center. What hasn't changed is that the government continues to remain ineffective when it comes to development and unity between the two communities. It is really sad! Instead of building bridges, we as a nation decided to burn them instead, a legacy of divide and rule politics of the British Raj, and the people in power and those appointed as the care takers of this large, beautiful and gloriously diverse nation chose to use that against this country. I believe the Ram Janam Bhoomi should be a made symbol of peace and brotherhood with a beautiful temple and masjid erected to show those ineffective and impotent people in power that no matter what they do, we as a nation stand together, shoulder to shoulder, and that we will not be henceforth governed by people who choose to divide us!

If you are born before 1992 then your parents shall disown you because since then and many things have changed since.

Well, the real change is India being recognised as one of the strong economies (of course along with China) and has become major hot spot for IT revolution. There is a formidable change from India's forex funds which was less than half a billion in 1991 to a strong forex position. India pledged gold in 1992 and today, India has bought gold reserves and holding the stock to retain global gold prices.
For aam aadmi, little bit of life style changes, more junk foods, more live in relationships, more broken marriages, more of those not needed for India.
No changes: Corruption, politicians playing around, legal system,, and many many.... including mindset of people, which will not change for centuries.
