When it comes to bag/fill their personal pockets, implementation is not delayed. The increase in salary is compared with the richest nation of the world and shown as the lowest paid indian parliamentarians, why not compare with the economic riches of your countrymen and you may find your self in higher paid pacunary and previleged group of people. Direct Tax Code to be implemented from fy. 2012-13, the benefits as proposed are likely to be eaten up by that time with the existing inflationary trends.
Once decion is taken, it ought to be implemented immediately for the sake of healthy execution of relief. CWG decision was taken ten years back but impletation of plans started very late and the result is before all of us. The nation is worried owing to the prevailing mess and non-completion of projects before. Prayer before almighty and all out efforts could be of great help for the successful completion of CWG " A savior of national pride "

DTC
by sunil chittoory on Sep 23, 2010 06:01 PM

I am sure by the time it will get implemented shape of DTC will follow the foot steps of CWG.
1) Exemptions (various types ) will slowly get reduced.
2) Slabs that look little rosy will futher collapse similar to bridge of CWG.
3) Govt. will keep barking that this is best for individuals and nations. similar to what CWG was for nations.
4)Last but not least, entire news on CWG on new channels have given tough competition to comedy serials, DTC will have fresh humor for common man.

I hope every one wakes up

What is DTC bringing?
by kiran kumar on Sep 23, 2010 03:57 PM

It doesnt change much, in terms of who is burdened by howmuch - if there is any movement, richer should be taxed more. It doesnt reduce any complexities in filing returns. It does not talk about how they are going to increase efficiency in spending the money.

I am sure this is going to be old wine new bottle.

This is daylight robbery by the Central Govt and the ring master is Pranab Da. It was suppose to implemented from April 1, 2011. But now its extended to 2012. Corrupt politicians are just cheating hardworking honest tax payers.

The DTC will be implemented from April 01,2012 - what a JOKE
by Revolutionist on Sep 23, 2010 10:08 AM  | Hide replies

Its a typical Poilitical cheating. Why not the DTC can be made effective immediately. As per the new DTC one can save Rs.24000 maximum and that even only after April 2012 (which is 20 months or 600 days or 14400 hours from now). What will happen after 2 years, how will be the economic condition, cost of living after April 2012 is hard to be predicted now..

Remember guys, 20 months before GOLD rate was just Rs.800 per gram approx. But today's Gold price I need not to say, you all know very well. 20 Months before Petrol price was Rs.45.62 (today Rs.57.00) it means, by 2010 it may be more than Rs.65.00. Same is the case for real estates, house rents, Electricity tariff (my god govt is going crazy on this).

What is the use of talking about saving Rs.24000 now (that even for those who earn more than 20Lacs).

Pranab Sir, go do some useful work for this nation. Let the government do not fool around the poor citizens...

Crazy Politicians... Crazy Govt.... and Innocent citizens....

Rightly Said........The Govt. consider the public is fool and can't understand. But they should know that the public is more calculative than the finance minister is.

This is the sentiment of many salaried taxpayers who have been betrayed by the govt. All they do is to collect tax to ensure 'meat' for scams like the CWG. 70K crores for a national shame?? Is this not a daylight dacoity of the taxpayers? Where is the PM??? And when it comes to compensating the harried taxpayers, all they do is too little & too late. Jis thali mein khatein hain usi mein ched....

Once again there are sections in the IT exemptions ensuring no can get the max (paltry!) tax benefit. Overall impact at the highest end is Rs. 24000 (< 2000 p.m). This does not even cover inflation that the Govt is responsible for. Compare this with the recent 3 times hike for the MP's, these guys are issuing DIKTATS & not policies! It rots lakhs of tons of food grains that could have been used for the starving millions! And they rebuff the highest court when exposed. Having (mis) governed the country for >50years, all they have learnt is the art of fleecing citizens. Why do we need to look at history to point out barbarians, we have many incumbents! It’s really no wonder that India is on Ram/Rahim/Robert/Ranvir bharose!
