But not the revealing type in the name of fashion. If in the villages women wear saries and if it was torn is purely due to the poverty. In the city, these people pay extra money buy torn jeans and short saries like this.

Perfect blend of tastes? My foot. By the way do you have any taste? Or have you seen the review. Many hated this in voting out.
When you see Indian women in Traditional saree, you feel respecting her..But if you see her in Mini Saree, honestly, you feel kicking her out..Anupama Dayal dont venture this....drop this idea..bad taste
I hate this Idea of MINI SAREE..Dont you ever try to LAUNCH this.We all love to SEE Indian Women in Traditional Sarees. They look nice this way...I am sure Anupama Dayal's mother also will not like to see her daugther in mini saree...... India is rich in culture. we are proud of this.....

U r absolutely right. Our Indian Tradition is being spoiled by Western culture.Let that be different from our Culture
The concept of Mini saree is not a new one. Probably we have forgotten it in the flood of mini skirts and pant like dresses . These pant like dresses are more used now being comfortable for colleges and offices. Otherwise our ancestors already thought of it.This mini saree was specified only to Unmarried and in teens.Once saree used to indicate that she is married. Our ancestors did not want to burden these younger ones with Saree and therefore mini sarees were devised. It used consists a three pieced one, top blouse, bottom langa , and a chunni like cloth across. It can be seen in old south Indian films.
