If you're in IT & ITES, plan your retirement before you reach 40 years

How much you earn is not matter how much you are saving is the poing... :)
By keeping the necessaties, inflation and the cost of EDUCATION... retirement plans are necessary. Our parents survived even without the plans, but we cannot survive. so every person who has just started earning should keep an eye on these plans.

The notion that RETIREMENT is only meant for GOVERNMENT & PSU people is irrelevant. Perhaps the gentleman does not know that Private sector employees are also subject to retirement plans.

Last lines are just nonsense. Retirement is for organised sector employees, particularly, the governmental and PSU. During the entire service they don't work and are only busy making money. This author suggest them to work a couple of hours after retirement! What a joke!

while i share your views I feel the perception about govt. agencies and employees is too to bad because of 10-20% people.
Please also note that Defence staff, Railway, Policemen are also govt. servents and they work much harder for the payment that they get.
its upto us to see the big picture.... whether to remember the TC in AC compartment asking for bribe or linesman on the track checking fishplates even at 2 am.

please read "To the last bullet" by Vinita Kamte (wife of ACP Kamte - 26/11 martyr) to understand the hard work put up by police officers and their duty conditions
