I am a pure meateater and loving it. Of course also taking care of the body with good exercise. Veg cannot substitute meat protien which is superior. Then if you do it just for your religion its your call, nobody minds.

I say why not eat healthy and nutritious food and work hard everyday.... the benefits of doing this are better than fasting.
I am a vipassana practitioner. We are allowed to eat twice a day. Around 6 AM and around 11:30 AM. Post noon , until next morning, we are allowed to drink lemon water / water only. But can tell you with definitiveness that it promotes remarkable improvement in health. Also, a sense of calm mind, spiritually inclined being. Its a fantastic feeling.
First few days its tough because you are starving your body of food for over 15 hours. But as it gets tuned, you will notice the change.

Its like raping your body after fasting. Further they work only 4 hrs a day officially and even in that time they dont want to do any work...Ramadan the religious excuse.
If One Teaspoon Of Trifla Poder Is Taken Early Morning at an empty stomach (After Easing), Followed By 12 Hrs Fasting, It Removes Toxins (Causing Disease and Gloominess). Otherwise also During Fasting Period Our System Utilizes the sored fat of the Body Starting the process of making you slim and trim.Believe me its true
I have become vegetarian/fruitarian for past 2 years and I agree with above facts wholeheartedly. What is in meat?
Protein/zinc: u can get from beans, pulses, nuts, grain, vegetables, coconut.
Iron: Actually our body can control better iron balance from plant sources but with meat there tends to be overabsorption of heme iron which can cause free radicals, inflammation, heart disease.
Fruit is the best carbohydrate and vitamin source and vegetables/salads good for minerals
