Teachers Should be paid higher salary
by AJAY on Sep 02, 2010 12:38 PM  | Hide replies

Most of the Young People dont opt for the Teacher profession because they get very less salary . Assuming a BE graduate gets a Lecturer Job in an Engg College he gets 12000 per month and if the same person gets into Software he gets 24000 and yearly increment for teachers is 225 and for software it is 10 to 30% minimum. What is more annoying is the student to whom he teaches gets a higher salary that the teacher when he is graduated and there is lot of dicipline like teacher should not do this not that. Like in USA we in INDIA should also pay the higher salary to the lectureres and professors. This is the main reason why the quality teachers are moving to IT these days.

Unlike in USA, majority of the Lecturers in India are into this profession because they don't fit in any other job.
[Talking about only IT lecturers, due respect to other branch lecturers]
Majority of them are useless lot.... Hence, the salary given to them is justified.
