by Shivaji Raje on Oct 23, 2010 02:50 PM

Our Political Ullus of every color lack VISION and are incompetent lot. India is a case where we can see what happens when Incompetent buggers get in position of power..

With such Ullus in politics, our enemies do not need hitech weapons to defeat us.. Gandhis, Pawars, Kalmadis, Congressis, Sanghis, Yadavs, Comies are all doing it quite effectively...

IIMs offer certificates and not MBA degrees
by Roy on Oct 23, 2010 02:40 PM  | Hide replies

The Professor is right. Most Indian Bschools including IIMs don't offer MBA degrees and therefore are at a disadvantage when attracting foreign students. Foreign students wouldn't want to spend so much to get a PGP certificate.

Ou policy makers make things complex out of nothing.

Start calling MBAs instead of PGD irrespective of affiliation with university or not.

It has to be a simple mathematics rather than making it a bullian algebra.

WHEN WISDOM PREVAILS
by Abhay Saini on Oct 23, 2010 02:26 PM

When we shall give international level projects to handle to our IITitans ans IIM students rather than giving them the task of cleansing Ganga & Yamuna. What a skewed thinking of our policy makers is?

Give them to invent rockets rather than subndary jobs.

We have to catch up
by abhi ganguly on Oct 23, 2010 02:17 PM

Right now it's nobody's guess that we are behind as China is investing billions on research and upgrade research facilities in her universities as that's the only way a country can move ahead.
We do produce a good number of research guys but there is a serious lack of top notch research opportunities and facilities in our country so almost all serious minded research guys move to US or Europe to pursue their research career.

Education mode
by Shyam Patro on Oct 23, 2010 09:40 AM

Is the Indian Business Schools are really mean to improve the education, intelligence and maturity of its students? Or, simply a minting press? Every year there is increase in fee structure, but without any additional courses to students. Recently I have seen one Business School sent their students on a Europe tour (2 countries), in which they visited the plants there. But no correlation with their learning curve. Only fun.
I views are that the courses must be towards Business requirements. Only brushing the same fundamental won't help. There should be more case studies, practicals and of-course presentations to improve confidence & skill.

Make cities decent
by Das on Oct 22, 2010 07:16 PM  | Hide replies

India can start my increasing efficiency, lessening corruption so that they can collect and spend tax to provide her citizen habitable cities, towns and villages. No foreign student or tourist will come to filthy, lawless and corrupt nation. Besides why not first provide decent higher education to tens of millions already languishing in mediocre or worse institutes.
