43 percent affirmed that it's over Rs 5,000. >>unless people doing ISD calls, I find it hard to believe this one - do they only talk through thei phones to ratchet up this bill ?
39 percent affirmed that they try to keep it under Rs 1,000 with a pre-paid scheme. >>hell, I can keep it under 1000 with a post paid bill, and talk for more than 20 hrs local, 10 hrs std! and maybe squeeze in a couple of quick ISD calls! what plans are these guys on ?
12 percent affirmed that it's less than Rs 2,000. amazing sampling size or are they lying? pre paid schemes are as cheap as it can get with even value added service like internet!
4 percent affirmed that it's less than Rs 3,000.
I just dont get the billing part. unless those who voted were only the ultra elite or VERY busy people - in which case they wouldn't have time to spend on rediff! or it would be the rich teenagers who spend a lot of time on social websites. if the readers are from India - it doesn't add up!

"50% of readers" - they are talking about readers and not the nation wide masses.
It is very strange regarding the survey data. Each mobile operaters (which are functioning before 2005) that they have around 1 millions subscribers). for this, it means that around 10 millions people of India have mobile connections. The survey is based on few thousands. (Not more than 3000). It means that survey is based on less than 1 % of mobile users. Ridiculous survey data.

Read it properly...It is only the rediff readers have given the poll..Not the whole of india...
