Ensure IT does not reach Mysore............
by ashok mani on Oct 17, 2010 08:45 AM

Mysore is a great, grand city and takes you back to the rich cultural heritage. The whole of Mysore is like that and is evolving.

Let not IT 'rush' into the city and change the ecology. Lets not create another Bangalore or will greed overtake??

Mysore Pageant on Vijaydashmi -ALegend of Yore....

D. Goel Pkl. afternoon, 1.20pm, Friday, Oct. 15, 2010.
Of course ,now , the royals are out in the context of Crony Capitalism that has replaced the petty dependencies of HisMajesty"s tum tums and Jambo Rides Games that Colonial mperialism cherished these degenerate Rulers played theirProxy Ruler'sCarnival , to keep abemusedIndian Populace be happy underthe boot of British Raj.
Now all this is only Past for good or evil.
Privy-purses gone about a generation ago and most Potentates now converting their Baroque Palaces into Foreign $s earner Holiday Homes
the legend still arouses Passion of a sordid
life of Contemporary Indian who hardly sees any democratic alternative to yester-century's degenerate Carnivals..Will Commonwealth Games Pageantry displace these old Carnivals? I donot Know.D.Goel

I had the opportunity to Visit Mysore, must admit its one of the beautiful cities in India complete with natural beauty and modernization.
Besides the cleanliness part the city is still recognized for its ancient culture and tradition.
Dassehra is an awesome spectacular festival that one should visit Mysore at least once in his life time.

Hi, GITU, long time, how are u?? Where are Sup AND Hari? not to be seen on board. hope u are fine, ne fine here....

Yeah u are right Nysore is one the finest ever cities in India, clean, neat and spunky, being lively all the year around with an excellent climate to back it up. The locals there are very charming and gracious always willing to help u out

The best thing is that the city has retained old world charm while modernizing and becoming osmopolitan on all fronts.

I am really proud of my native city Mysore, the city of tradition and jubilation. The city charms with its natural beauty, beautiful parks, elegant palaces and above all quite hospitable people. Great place to visit and enjoy during the festive time
