Could you give me a rough estimate as to how much this trip could cost (all inclusive) for say a week's trip?

I recently have been to langkawi with my family and it is really a worth place to see, i have stayed at Holiday Villa beach resort and i really enjoyed the beach, sands and the scenic beauty over the sea, I have hired a cab and the driver took us to all places in 2 days we have seen all places like cable car, mangrove tour, under wate world, night markets,we enjoyed our 3D 2N to the max, and i would suggest this hotel as it is very near to the airport and well connected by restaurants and other activities

i find langkawi a shit place
by Raj Thackersey on Oct 10, 2010 12:22 PM  | Hide replies

if you have been to the beaches in Thailand and also the activities in places like Phuket, this is nothing

I always feel Indians perceive Thailand as a S$X country than for its scenic beauty.

Its probably the Andamans that can match Thailand, however our government hasnt done enough to promote tourism here

Hi, u can get best pctures of Lankwi, just google it. I believe she missed out many good places in Lankawi incl Mangoroves, bats nest and so on. I was last year, it was good place to visit.

Today, I returned back from Bali, Java and Sumatra. Believe me every Indian should visit Bali to understand how those people keep their heritage alive. Wonderful place, ishland of active volcano, temple ishland. Great place for surfing in Kutabeach. Beautiful handicrafts, arts. Nearly 93% people are belongs to hinduCommunity. I am so impressed that, planning to buy a villa there in future. Don't know how to post those pictures with good memories.

Langkawi Island

Hello,

While in Langkawi don't miss out on the opportunity to go Scuba Diving. One has to take a boat ride of around 1 1/2 - 2 hours. Its conducted by professionals and even people without experience can do it. While there, we witnessed the amazing Shark feeding session. At a particular time in the evening, the locals bring to the water loads of meat and suddenly you find there are dozens of baby sharks swimming very near to the shore to eat the meat. Was standing in knee deep water and suddenly the baby sharks are zipping all around your as well as others legs.

Also off the main Langkawi island is Rebak Island, the private island of Taj, where we were staying. There you get to know the exciting life of so many US and European families which revolves around their luxury yachts and the open seas. Quite a few of them were staying there on their boats for years. The children do their schooling via Internet. Would personally prefer Langkawi any day compared to Penang.

You can easily hire 'own-car' at reasonable rate right on airport itself. you can drive yourself your car with luggage from airport to your hotel. There is only sigle good road connecting everything, so finding your way is not a problem. Indian driving licence is valid. Check the condition of car you hire on airport. You have to put petrol yourself.
Langkawi is great destination to relax and enjoy for few days. Hotel rates varies. Try to discover bargain rates by 'internet'.Credit-card booking of a hotel can be easily done by internet. Digital camera and camcorder are must to preserve memories...
