BAD HR POLICIES
by SATHISH on Oct 21, 2010 12:48 PM

Even though the subject has developed to a great extent, still in so many organisations, people who are at the apex of HR do not know what are the kind of genuine problems employees are facing. They support whatever the top Management says and exploit the working class to the extreme. When employees remain on leave suddenly for a genuine cause, it gets misinterpreted as irresposible and insincere. The HR should really look into the genuine problems of the employees. If an employee is unnecessarily harassed, definitely the organisation will have to pay a price for that. If all employees get exposed to this kind of situations in the hands of HR, then organisation will face a silent death with no apparent manifestations of a negative situation. People who are holding HR positions should be able to know the problems of employees. Every employee is a lesson to be learnt and no situation should be generalised. Some sadist bosses who do not want to take care of their family properly and finds pleasure in sitting offices late and bossing over the subordinates. They do not know what kind of impression employees are carrying with this kind of habit. If the leader is good, then that will definitely get reflected in the entire organisation. People who are sitting in HR should understand that flexibility matters a lot in the current situation. People want to do their job in a dignified atmosphere with a sense of pride. Our HR Managers should understand this fact.

Buddhi Karmaanusaarini (Buddhi will follow the Karma)
by Brahmandam Sastry on Oct 07, 2010 09:42 AM

The great ancient Indian Philosophy said it all clearly but simply:

Your actions (instigated by your Buddhi or intelligence) are programmed based on the "karma". So whaterver way you interpret it finally this puzzle is not going to be solved until and unless you come to terms with your Karma.

1. Work 8 Hours of a Day. DILIGENTLY. Relax after that.
2. GO EASY(not lazy). Life is finite.
3. Learn Compassion. Share your good fortune with others.
4. Learn to accept defeat. Everyone can celebrate a victory.

Making the best of life

I asked many people about reading books by Shiv Khera. Almost everybody said that he or she has read the book 'You can win'. When I asked have you read his book: LIVING WITH HONOUR. Most of them have not and many of them did not know about such a book. I say all this because I feel LIVING WITH HONOUR is a primer for every individual especially students, parents, teachers, and politicians. The well-known statement "Child is the father of the man" conveys everything that is necessaary to develop our personalities, character included. Reading is perhaps the most important input in the development of personalities. Very rarely, now-a-days, we 'think'. Am I doing the right thing? Am I being righteous? Am I honest? Am I trustworthy? Do I have the integrity? Do I have compassion? Answers to these and many such questions, yes one should introspect at the end of every day, will help develop our personalities and teach us to live with honour. That will reduce if not eliminate corruption, build character, make us better citizens, and make us capable of electing the right people and the right party.

Please everybody read the book LIVING WITH HONOUR by Shiv Khera. Act on it. You do not have to remember me or my name. May God bless you all.

Sir,

Your write up gave me an interesting reading. I fully subscribe to your views. With every passing day, a process of refinment should take place in the life of humanbeings. The kind of introspectin you have suggested will go a long way in making a person good human being. I wish the earth should be little more clearn to lead a life. When we look around sometimes, get a feeling that life is not worth living. The values once we cherished has become a matter of the past. Survival alone has become the masterpiece in the society. Expecting from you such good piece of advice in future also. Regards.
