Limited knowledge is clearly dangerous stuff. Before fuming and frothing at the mouth he could have checked the net and found out that the pose also is called by other names: it is kakasana -- crow pose. Peace to him:)
Whats your take on the new many "Power Yoga" and "Hot Yoga" "Artistic Yoga" etc. Does traditional yoga need patience and those who lack it try out other forms?

From what i observed, all these varieties of "yoga" you mentioned are celebrity focussed without much emphasis on the mind aspect of true yoga.Whether you want to follow them is your choice but in a country where Yoga is born, we definitely have the option to learn the authentic yoga.

Without reading the article in full, this suggestion by Jishith g! I have clearly mentioned that the crow itself must be learnt with an expert. The other poses are all floor based safe pose. Here is what I say in the intro: The poses given below are safe. For learning the crow itself, you need to practice with an expert who can guide you step-by-step into the pose. So please read the article in full before dismissing the other poses as unsafe!!

shameem, with the respect, I think people should start practicing the basics before going for advanced procedures like these. And dont feel bad about Jishith's comment. I think a lot of ppl with go to a conclusion watching the first slide. Crow pose should've been included as the last slide dont you think?
