Milk ,cornflour and sugarfree have a lot of carbohydrates. Most indians are unaware that your blood sugar is spiked by eating carbs. So this dessert is bound to spike ur blood glucose. Rediff should check and publish the carbohydrate contents of any dessert without publishing this as low sugar dessert. Anyone reading this dessert , dont try it on a person with diabetes

You may be right or you may be wrong.
But please don't give health advice here.
It is best left to expert and I do not think you are one of them (The expert).
Let each person decide and consult his/her own doctor and dietitian and make the decision.
Every Indians is an expert in every field under the sun but should keep their advice and expertise for them self.

i am an odyia.as far as i know rasmalai originates from Bengal.best quality rasmalai's are available in bengal and it's other name is chana'r payesh.famous odisha sweets are chenapodo and salepur rasogolla.Chenapodo may be the best given recipe here cause it tastes much better with less sugar.

Sugar free is bad in the long run

Sugar free is bad in the long run. Just google to find out. Unfortunately most of the consumers in India are not at all aware of this. Sugar free has become the easy way to get back to sweets again.

Sheetal u are confused. Only on the Net u can get both opinions for and against and make your decision. but other medias like TV and newsprint are sold out to vested interests, there is no debate, u get brainwashed by what they sell you

Hold on there are better places then internet to learn and make a educated decision and not guess work, liabraies are one place where on can find books on information which is true to its words.
And we all have tried and tested them for centuries before internet was not even dream.
At least 60% of information on medical subjects on internet is harmful.

exactly. it is worse than sugar itself as it encourages consumption of more empty calories and it has some cancerous effects.

Better is to eat less refined sugar, white flour, polished rice, and especially refined oils.

eat sweets prepared with sugar as well as pure ghee but in moderation. Moderation is the keyword here
