First of all Congratulations............ I appreciate Jitendar for his efforts.Majorly the words he said"is not so hard".Thats actually good for the guys who really want to get there. Its a human tendency many people feel its hard and drop their view.If u tell them its easy they will atleast give a try.
He is himself saying he had to work hard on chemistry ..Now if someone's rela interest is to be a computer scientist then why does he need to know chemistry ?

The future could be in Quantum computing or molecular computing who knows. Unless the fundamentals in basic sciences (including Biology) are absolutely essential. Otherwise, the boys will have a tough time. IIT is not trying produce a coaching class for a particular job oriented software career.

There is no alternative to working hard. Not only IIT, you take any exam, if you have to succeed with flying colours, you have to work hard. faltoo people feel everything faltoo.

If we put together poor students from AP,the count comes around 150-160..Those students even worked in paddy fields during vacations...so no need to specially congragulate super-30......There are many others who deserve speacil appreciation.........

U idiot banrzee. Why not u admit that southys are more intelligent than useless northys. See thir success rate in IIT. Only 65,000 apperaed in JEE but still 40 % of total intake from south including most of toppers. Please note that this obsesssion of IIT is mainly in north only where about 3 lacs appeared in JEE with very little success rate. In fact south & west zone accounted for 80% intake, that also when there is no obsession for IIT there in those zones as lot of other good alternates also there. Thats why hardly anyone take this exam for 2nd time in south/west zone while most of average northys clear it in 2nd or 3rd attempts just because of obsession. BTW I am from north

whether IIT or no IIT, it is a known fact that south Indians followed by maharashtrian/Gujjus are more intelligent than useless northys . This hype & obsession of IIT also in north only as they don't have any other option. People even try for 3-4 attempts. Same is not true with south india/mumbai where lots of other intelligent opportunities are there. Still south/west accounts for max no of IIT 2010 (almost 80%) even though no. of students appearing for test from south/west zone is much lower than north & east zones. Congrats reddy for your achievement.

Clearing a entrance exam(taht also in 2nd or 3rd attempt) is not a national pride. This phobia & idiotic things work only in backward states like bihar/UP/MP etc. You do someting noticable for country like what kalam, ramanuzam, kurien, sreedharan, ambani, murthy, premzi, bhtawadiakr(super computer) etc have done- u need to be congratulated. None of them from IIT. This stupid concept work only in north india where people need congratulation for clearing entarnce exam & not for doing some thing innovative. Its shame for India. thats why Bihar & UP are so backward.
You are awesome man...Universities like MIT-USA and companies like GOOGLE need sharp brains like you...hope you will make it to them...........Finally ,you made your state proud...keep it up............

Yes friend !!!! you are right our country needs people like him. So I hope this guy will make us proud by bringing laurels for the nation and himself. Look, if Dr.manmohan singh & Dr. Abdul kalam, what they have achieved just with their academic and proffessional excellence. How many IIT toppers who have gone on to MITs and serving in US are remembered in our country?
"I never really studied for 10 hours or 12 hours". He can still top JEE because he is a GENIUS born with extraordinary talent and intelligence. I would warn other students not to follow his advice blindly. I have seen such geniuses first hand at IIT both as a student and faculty. We had a few such batchmates who could just skim through my notes for 1-2 hours and crack the exams next days. However, majority of us were lesser mortals who needed to put in appropriate diligence and hard work.
@Anumula: Do not feel let down if IIT does not trun out to be as per your expectations. Passing the exams with high grades will be child's play for you. Use your 4 years to work on projects outside the classroom curriculum. Identify a few good dynamic profs (you have already started) and try to work with them on research problems. All the best and hope to see your name flashed in the media many more times in the future.

Dear U need not speak on subjects that you have no idea about! Try to get the point (well I'm sure you can try at least) that the profesor is putting here out of his experience.
