I see some people saying that top 50 ranks went to AP.How can it be true?I find other students too..Is it that majority of students in top 50 are from AP??
Why is it not mentioned in headline that the topper is from AP and what is the significance of this Madras zone. Infact, top 50 students are from AP. Why not shift one of the IIT from either Chennai/Kanpur/Kharagpur to Hyderabad.

you are such a regionalistic person... du u think just creating a new building in hyd will also shift the pride and prestige of these institutions that have been built over the years? every IIT is for every Indian and u get it right dear Gopi... please have some common sense and don have such regional bias

Dear Sowmya, common sense comes naturally as an instinct. But for your empty head, i suggest you get a brain fixed. Do you know there's lot of pressure and demand on Central govt for a new IIT to be established in Hyderabad since 10 yrs.

simply amazed how ill-informed you are. Hyderabad already has an IIT my friend. that was a complete no-brainer- why cant u admit that instead of cussing!!

why you want to shift one of the IITs to hyd. why you cant travel out of AP? or you are handycapped or what?. still other IITs are in india only, you can travel to any IITs.

i understand many people from AP top IIT exams every year.. infact 60% of iitians are from andhra pradesh...
rather than shifting..its gud to have a new IIT branch in hyderabad
i have seen news today and was shocked to see top 50 ranks going to AP......... great going Ap...standards of mathematics in plus1 and 2 are a plus for AP students.......

Congrats AP. Though I am from TN, I really admire the performance of AP in high calibre exams. Hopefully AP doesnt gets diverted by issues like Telengana and maintains its competitive edge. As for our state (TN), with the present DMK govt meddeling with the standard of education and meritocracy, worried that its going from bad to worse.
