Good writting.
All of us ( who are living away from mother) should at least telephone to mothers and take blessing.
She will be happy listening your sound.

Appreciation

it is very nice to share your experience. But now, situation has changed and we Indian become so self centered and selfish that we do not give credit to others who relly deserves it. Moreover we try to route others merits into our credit. This is the downfall of moral values of these days.
Moms are like that only. Now, that generation has over and the new generation of Moms are more projected modern and selfish even to injustice for their own children if self comes in between.
India has changed a lot in moral values and in all respect but one thing has not changed is that India is still a developing country I do not know how long we remain as a developing nation.
Good Luck Renuji, We are in proud because of you.

Fantastic writing

It was a fantastic piece of writing. I know all mothers dote their kids but not all prepare them for life. Renu was lucky and blessed. My eyes were wet at the end of the story.

On a lighter note: What is 'partly ajar'? - Renuji, you did not immerse yourself completely in the task at hand!!

Very well written, Renuji. By the way, my mom's name is Renu too.
Yes One Liner, she is pretty lucky indeed and should be a great mother herself. My eyes got wet too, and that brought smile - your pointing out "partly ajar" :)
