i know going to Africa is tough, but, there are certain places in the continent which are beyond words. In reference to beaches...River no. 2 Baech in Freetown Seirra Leone is one such place which is unspoiled and truely exceptional.
For a normal travellor reaching there is a pain no doubt but its still the view of the place is phenomenal.

who are you to comment on rediff, why not varkala? have you ever been there? I think you have a very scanty and narrow view about wold destinations.
Believe these lists are writer's personal choice, or else there are many beaches who are the best in the world rated by Travel and Tourism board of world body not in place here. Like Pattaya (Thailand), Maldives, Honolo(US), Bermuda, Lankavi (Malaysia), Sau Polo and Malata. So, these selection must be individual writer's choice.
come on. There is some limit to cut and paste. At leasr write which beach is in which country and how to reach there. One of the worst write up ever copied from here and there
