One last measure by govt please!
by Rajan Sodankur on Mar 29, 2010 11:24 AM

Do you call it government?
Intellectually bankrupt in taxing policies. The poor majority never pays taxes and also enjoys the subsidies and rations. The rich minority knows with its money power how to stash its wealth in Swiss accounts and to evade taxes cleverly. It is the hapless working middle class which bears the burden of govt inefficiecnies (like the rotting lakhs of tonnes of wheat procured from Punjab & Haryana) by central govt for PDS,retrospectively and belatedly regularising illegal structures thereby punishing the law abiding citizens and encouraging illegal land development activities
Political bankrupcies resulting conflicts with Nagas, Kasmiris, Telenagnis, Andhrites, Maoists, Naxalites wasting public assets thru loots, vandalism and arson
International policy bankruptcies. Show me one country in the world which stands with India thru thick and thin, just as US is to Israel and Taiwan, China is to Pak or N.Korea?
Military bankruptcies: In trying to pose as would be super power could Indian govt produce one international quality battle tank, helicopter, fighter plane, passenger plane, field gun? When it will stop buying second rate fighter planes like MIGs, nuke sub marines, and other equipment from foreign countries?
Having exhausted all avenues, now wait till the govt announces its service tax for the services provided by house wives in their kitchens and in beds! Do the MPs and Ministers pay taxes on the services and perks provided to them b

Idiotic govt health policies
by Rajan Sodankur on Mar 29, 2010 11:06 AM

Why government health policies are idiotic.(a)It compensates as medical leave, reimbursement of expense of mostly careless or wanton contract of diseases (due to smoking, drug, adultery, liquor & lifestyles)of govt, semi-govt, PSU staff at the cost of more careful staff who maintain their health and draining tax payer's money. What incentive the latter staff get? Is the policy an incentive or disincentive for maintaining one's health?
2.Government on one hand tries to promote Indian systems of medicine and therapies but when it comes to medical reimbursments how does it treat the costs of Siddha, Ayurveda, Unani and other alternative therapies despite the Indian universities recognizing them and awarding degrees and government registering these practitioners?
3.A government which can not provide primary health facilities in most of the villages and can not educate the their masses to raise their health and nutrition awarensess, should promote these affordable alternative therapies which are also more relevant and appropriate for rural communities.
4. Govt health and medicine policies are mostly fattening the purses of allopathy practitioners, pharmaceutical companies, insurance companies and govt hospital doctors.
By God's grace I maintained my family's health thru acu pressure, naturopathy, Siddha, Yoga & never claimed medical reimbursement from my Central Govt Office during last 29 yrs of service.Rely more on healthier life styles and alternat

This is so unfair. We have to loook after our own health plans and instead of encouraging people to do it you are charging a service tax.it just defies the logic.
You have no health care plans for the senior citizens, after the age of 75!while we are well we pay for the healthcare plans. This is so disgusting.

Service Tax on Medical Insurance Claims
by Hebbar R on Mar 26, 2010 05:15 PM

This is a view expressed by the Author"
QUOTE:
"Given this situation of no extra revenue accruing to it, it is unclear why the government has chosen to impose this tax in this manner at this stage."
UNQUOTE:

One explanation and the most likely one at that could be that the UPA and Congress get some kind of pleasure in squeezing the common man. They are themselves not capable of providing medical facilities to the hapless Middle Class and Salaried Class. Where these segments make their own arrangements, they are then taxed. Any other explanation certainly defies logic.

service tax on cashless facility
by CHANDMANUJA on Mar 26, 2010 01:02 PM

companies should not collect 6% additional premium's from customers for cashless facility. lots of loopholes are there and the customer blindly signs the cashless forms as he thinks his treatment is done free but the tpa's inflate the bills and now if additional 10.3% st is also deducted customer is going to be a biggest loser. to get this cashless facility the customer has to arrange for 64VB facility

AAM ADMI, please elect UPA or rather Congress again and again and go on paying taxes on each and everything. Please do not protest because you have no right to do so and there is no one who hears you. Just get crushed under the taxes and leave the world so that our MERA BHARAT MAHAN's population is under control. JAI HO!
