'Cauvery, Varanasi' must be a typographical error. Cauvery river rises from Brahmagiri Hill in the Western Ghats in Coorg district of Karnataka state in South India. The river flows through the state of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.Varanasi on the other hand is located on the banks of Rivers Ganges, in North India.
The Tanjavur temple could not have been the tallest structure at th tme it was built - the Great Pyramid of Giza was already standing at that time...so before being carried away by what quack guides tell us, we need to get th facts straight.
That The Big Temple is wonderful in itself should make it valuable enouigh without adding anything else to it.

You got it wrong, buddy. I said "tallest building". Pyramids are man-made structures, can't be called building. Anything that does not have a roof and walls is not a building. Go get some sleep.
I don't go by any quack guide. Did your guide tell you Pyramid of Giza is a "building"?

I thought Cauvery started in Karnataka but flowed through Tamil Nadu into the Bay of Bengal. Is it the same one you are talking about?

Pl. clarify your point, whether it is Cauvery or the Ganges. Varanasi means it should be the Ganges.
Place of worship are place of contemplation, deep thinking. about life. about our spiritual nature. about purpose. whats working whats not. But unfortunately all indian temples are designed to pray and ask from god. its nothing but greed. there is no true devotion or to do right karma to serve others.
