parents to blame
by kieran dsouza on Mar 24, 2010 12:28 PM  | Hide replies

from 60s onwards parents have been brainwashed and confused so that they believe traditional foods like ghee and coconut are unhealthy and marketed foods like refined polyunsaturated oils are healthy.

this is the foundation of all heart disease. Today all hotels use cheap refined oil which is actually unfit for consumption whether sunflower, soya, corn oil or safflower.

these oils are toxic when exposed to high heat of Indian cooking. also they are omega-6 which creates abnormal demand for omega-3 in the body to balance the ratio. They are unstable and have to be kept away from light, low smoking point. When consumed they cause long term health problems.

No wonder that diabetes and heart disease is rising as people are switching to these unhealthy oils and hotels and sweet marts are using them only as ghee/butter/coconut oil is relatively expensive

Alternate treatment for heart disease
by vascowatch watch on Mar 24, 2010 12:27 PM  | Hide replies

Though angioplasty or a bypass surgery are the most recommended course of treatment for arterial blocks in the heart there is now an alternative called CHELATION. It involves no surgery only needs taking an intravenous drip of an amino acid called EDTA twice a week. I was diagnosed with two 100% blocks in my heart and advised immediate bypass surgery. Instead I am undergoing this CHELATION treatment and I am perfectly fine.No side effects no other medication. Can climb 3 floors without problem etc. Check the net for info on this treatment. Some allege that bypass and angioplasty have a business angle so CHELATION is not recommended as a course of 30 drips will cost approx only Rs.50,000/- compared to Rs. 3 to 5 lakhs for a bypass surgery. Check this out.

Heart Attacks.
by MSidique Khimani on Mar 24, 2010 12:10 PM  | Hide replies

The one important risk factor which is overlooked is "inadequate sleep'.Most people living in urban areas tend to watch television till late in the night/early morning resuklting in inadequate sleep/sleep deprivation resulting in heightened stress which over a period of time results in increased blood pressure etc. This is particularly noticed during IPL Matches,World cup football etc.The old adage 'Early to bed and early to rise is hardly followed. On the contrary waking up till late is considered a virtue. Moreover having a late dinner and that too a heavy one leaves the digestive system overburdened and this too compounds the strain on the body.

Lack of Physical Activity
by Avdhesh Katiyar on Mar 24, 2010 12:07 PM

Lack of physical activity by parents and later on by their offsprings is the main reason behind shrinking hearts generation after generations.
