Buiness school are fency. But we dont have to kill ourselve to get in. best training to run any business is to emmerse yourself fully in it. Have big vision. inspire your team to go get it. Thats it. Look at bill gate, ambani. they all had these 3 quality. they immersed theseves totally in their field of business. Had very ambitious desir or vision to achive big. Business school can teach basics of running operation. but without these quality you cant be big.

recession happened due to the greed of few managers who allowed the easy housing loans to go on, thus leading to bank collapse in US.

Greed is something that we do even while knowing the consequences. So it is not correct to blame B Schools for that.

Show me a school that teaches you to overcome greed. You will not find one. So please do not make a general statement blaming B schools for the economic mess.

What?

I am appalled to know that these are the topics for discussion. All of them look like arbitrary statements and observations. What can follow these can only be confusion and even more arbitrary statements. To be able to speak, if at all, on such thin air topics is no sign of communication or intelligence. To be dumbfounded when confronted by something inane, is only natural after all.

All these statements are open to umpteen number of interpretations dependent upon the thought process of the person, which is what is judged during these processes. Along with your thought process, it is also seen how well you are able to put forward your point of view in a group.

I am disappointed at the response that the article has gotten. The people over at IIML are ofcourse concerned about the student Junta have made an effort to compile a list for aspiring candidates in order to help them out a bit. If one does not think much of the topic or feel that they are not upto it then dont go ahead and read it. Atleast dont scoff at others who might find it interesting.
