You forgot to mention the name of that politician. He is Anbumani Ramadoss, a chain-smoking, alcoholic, third class graduate who took pride in bunking classes, and later when fate put him in a powerful position, because of the inherent inferiority complex vis-a-vis Dr. P. Venugopal, he did his best to harass him. This base metal could hardly scratch on the surface mettle of Dr. Venugopal. Pathetic looser that Anbumani was, he ended up sulking in a corner.
Its era of training not education. Job skills are highly important. if india has to compete with rest of the world. China is investing world class technology to train its masses. they know this is only way to win the economic war. In india we should give practical, result oriented porject to kids and see how they perform. thats called training. just memorising theory is useless. 3 Idiot make a good point. whole thinking has to change towards solving problem of daily life, not just intellectual knowledge.

Also awarness to be a good consumer is needed. Indian lack taste for producing world class product or services and consuming it. It may sound materialist, but we have to bite the bullet. how else can we win this economic battle going on in this world. China is sitting on our head.

I bet you guys dont even know what CV Raman did. Can you explain his theory, the "Raman effect" here briefly? Patrioitism is not required here please!
In those days nobody thought of awarding CV Raman a Padma bhushan or Bharat Ratna while now a days sachin tendulkar is considered for the honour. Speaks of us as a nation...
